About Us
The voice of Minnesota’s alpine ski areas — advocating for the industry, growing the sport, and supporting our members year-round.
Who We Are
The Minnesota Ski Areas Association
The Minnesota Ski Areas Association (MnSAA) is the non-profit business trade association representing the 20 alpine ski areas across Minnesota. Our work centers on three core areas: governmental affairs, public outreach, and member services.
Our Work
Three Core Areas
Governmental Affairs
MnSAA advocates for its members by closely monitoring activity at the State Capitol and staying abreast of legislation and policy issues that could affect the ski industry and the communities it serves. We maintain partnerships with a range of allied organizations to advance legislation and policies that support our shared priorities.
Public Outreach
Our outreach program highlights the positive economic impact the ski industry brings to Minnesota and educates the public on how to safely and fully enjoy skiing and snowboarding. This includes robust safety programming for both consumers and industry professionals.
Member Services
MnSAA supports its membership through year-round training opportunities for ski area staff. In collaboration with our industry partners, we deliver trainings that share operational best practices and help ski area operators run safe, successful operations.
