Pass Programs Terms & Conditions

General Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to all MnSAA Pass Programs. By purchasing or accepting a pass, the passholder agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in their entirety.
- No Refunds. All pass sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or credits will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to changes in personal circumstances, inability to use the pass, or dissatisfaction with individual ski area operations.
- Blackout Dates. All passes are subject to published blackout dates as determined by MnSAA and/or participating member ski areas. Blackout dates are subject to change. It is the passholder’s responsibility to review applicable blackout dates prior to visiting a participating ski area.
- Availability — First Come, First Served. Pass availability is not guaranteed. All passes are issued on a first come, first served basis. MnSAA reserves the right to limit pass sales at any time and for any reason without prior notice.
- Eligibility Requirements. Passholders must meet all applicable eligibility requirements at the time of purchase and must maintain eligibility for the duration of the season. Failure to maintain eligibility may result in the immediate suspension or cancellation of the pass without refund. Passholders are required to complete an Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Indemnification prior to the pass being issued. If the passholder is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must complete an Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Indemnification prior to the pass being issued. Eligibility requirements vary by pass program and are outlined in the program-specific sections below.
- Non-Transferable. Passes are non-transferable and may only be used by the registered passholder. Passes used by anyone other than the registered holder may be immediately voided without refund.
- One Use Per Day. Passes may be used once per calendar day at participating MnSAA member ski areas.
- MnSAA Member Ski Area Operations. MnSAA does not control the daily operations of its member ski areas. MnSAA is not responsible for ski area closures, limited operations, reduced terrain, weather conditions, or any other operational decisions made by individual member ski areas. No refunds will be issued based on individual ski area operations, closures, or conditions.
- Accuracy of Information. Applicants are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during the application and purchase process. MnSAA is not responsible for errors, denied access, or pass cancellations resulting from incorrect or incomplete information submitted by the applicant.
- Full Payment Required. Full payment is required at the time of purchase. Passes will not be issued until payment has been received and processed in full.
- No Combination with Other Discounts or Programs. MnSAA passes may not be combined with any other discount, promotion, loyalty program, special offer, or third-party program unless explicitly stated in writing by MnSAA.
- Compliance & Enforcement. Failure to comply with any provision of these Terms & Conditions may result in the suspension or permanent cancellation of the pass without refund. MnSAA and its member ski areas reserve the right to enforce these Terms & Conditions at their sole discretion.
- Dispute Resolution. Any disputes arising from or related to MnSAA pass programs shall be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota. By purchasing a pass, the passholder waives the right to pursue claims through litigation except as otherwise required by law.
Industry Pass — Specific Terms & Conditions
The following terms apply specifically to the MnSAA Industry Pass Program and are in addition to the General Terms & Conditions above.
- Employment, Approved Contractor or Volunteer Eligibility. Passholders must be actively employed by, an approved contractor, or actively volunteering with, an approved MnSAA Industry Pass partner organization at the time of purchase. Proof of employment, contract or volunteer status may be required.
- Continued Eligibility. Eligibility must be maintained throughout the entire season. If a passholder’s employment, approved contractor or volunteer status with an approved Industry Pass partner changes or ends during the season, the passholder must notify MnSAA. Loss of eligibility will result in immediate cancellation of the pass without refund. If a passholder continues to use their pass after eligibility ends they may be prevented from purchasing a pass in the future.
- Age Requirement. Passholders must be at least 18 years of age at the time of purchase. Proof of age may be required.
- No Combination with Other Offers. Industry Passes may not be combined with any other discount, promotion, special offer, or pass program.
Fourth Grade Passport — Specific Terms & Conditions
The following terms apply specifically to the MnSAA Fourth Grade Passport Program and are in addition to the General Terms & Conditions above.
- Grade Eligibility. The passholder must be enrolled in the fourth grade at the time the passport is issued. Grade level eligibility will not be adjusted retroactively.
- Residency & School Type. Passholders do not need to be a Minnesota resident or enrolled in a Minnesota school to participate. Home school students are eligible for the Fourth Grade Passport Program, provided all other eligibility requirements are met.
- Individual Ski Area Offers. Each participating MnSAA member ski area has its own specific offer associated with the Fourth Grade Passport. It is the passholder’s sole responsibility to review and understand the specific offer at each ski area prior to visiting. MnSAA is not responsible for misunderstandings regarding individual ski area offers.
- D Team Race Restrictions. Fourth Grade Passports are not valid for use during D Team races or D Team race-related events.
- Group Program Restrictions. Participating ski areas may limit or restrict passport use in conjunction with group programs at their sole discretion.
- No Combination with Other Offers. Fourth Grade Passports may not be combined with any other discount, promotion, special offer, or pass program.
These Terms & Conditions are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Minnesota Ski Areas Association. The most current version of these Terms & Conditions will be made available on the MnSAA website. Continued use of a pass constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms & Conditions.
